Features
One button. It does the rest.
Every quality, with its size
Click the button on a video page. ClipSave lists every quality, best to smallest, and how big each file is, before you pick.
Video or just the sound
Save MP4 video, or pull the audio out as MP3 or M4A. Same click, one row down.
Right-click anything
On a page or a link: ClipSave, then Save video or Save audio. No popup needed.
Carries on without you
Close the popup, switch tabs. Downloads keep going, and the toolbar badge counts them.
Paste any link
Not on the page? Paste a video link into the popup and press Find.

About the setup
“Paste this into Terminal?” Once, and here's why.
Browsers don't let extensions run download tools, so a small helper app does the saving. It isn't signed by Apple or Microsoft yet, and a copy downloaded in a browser would be blocked. One command installs it cleanly instead.
Checks every byte
The installer compares the helper with the release's SHA-256 checksums and stops if anything differs.
Just for you
It installs into your own user folder. No administrator password, nothing system-wide.
Answers only to ClipSave
The helper registers for ClipSave's extension ID alone, so no other extension can talk to it.
