Why ClipSave
“Click, pick, saved. No pop-ups, no sign-up, no catch.”
Most download sites and extensions come wrapped in ads, redirects and “premium” buttons, or quietly watch what you save. ClipSave was built to be the opposite.
It started as an Android app. The browser version keeps the same engine, yt-dlp, and the same rule: you click, you pick, it saves, and nothing else happens.
It isn't a business. There is no paid tier to upsell and no data to sell. It just has to work well.
Free forever
No paid tier and no premium unlock. Every feature is for everyone.
Private by design
The extension has no account, no analytics and no servers. What you save stays on your computer.
Open source
Every line is public under GPL-3.0, and every release is built in the open.
